First, convert the battery capacity to kWh by dividing it by 1,000 (250Wh ÷ 1,000 = 0.25 kWh). Next, divide this value by the charging efficiency (0.25 kWh ÷ 85% ≈ 0.294 kWh). Finally, multiply this value by the electricity rate (0.294 kWh × $0.15 ≈ $0.0441). Thus, charging this scooter would cost approximately $0.0441 or 4.41 cents.


Keep in mind that charging costs may vary depending on factors such as promotional electricity rates, using public charging stations, or utilizing renewable energy sources like solar panels. Comparatively, the cost of charging an electric scooter is much more affordable than fuelling a car or even taking public transportation, solidifying electric scooters as an economical and eco-friendly option for urban commuters.
