Step-by-Step Guide: How to Put Chain on Razor Sweet Pea Electric Scooter

Sometimes, your electric scooter may need a bit of maintenance to keep it running smoothly. If you find yourself needing to put the chain back on your Razor Sweet Pea Electric Scooter or replace it entirely, don't worry! We've got you covered with this step-by-step guide that will have your scooter back on the road in no time.

Step 1: Gather Your Tools
To put the chain on your Razor Sweet Pea Electric Scooter, you'll need a few basic tools:

  • A wrench (ideally, an adjustable one)

  • A flathead screwdriver

  • A chain breaker tool (if you're replacing your chain)

Step 2: Remove the Chain Guard
Using your flathead screwdriver, remove the chain guard by unscrewing the screws that hold it in place. Set the guard and screws aside.

Step 3: Loosen the Rear Wheel
You'll need to give your rear wheel some slack to properly position the chain. Use your wrench to loosen the nuts that hold the wheel in place, and then push the wheel forward slightly. This will give you enough space to work with the chain.

Step 4: Position the Chain
Wrap the chain around the rear sprocket (the small gear on the wheel) and the front sprocket (the larger gear connected to the motor). Ensure that the chain is sitting properly on both sprockets and isn't twisted or kinked.

Step 5: Tighten the Rear Wheel
Once the chain is in position, pull the rear wheel backward to tighten the chain. Keep an eye on the chain tension as you do this - you don't want it to be too tight or too loose. A properly tensioned chain should have about a half-inch of vertical movement.

Step 6: Secure the Rear Wheel
Using your wrench, tighten the nuts that hold the rear wheel in place. Be sure to double-check that your chain tension is still correct after tightening the nuts.

Step 7: Replace the Chain Guard
Finally, place the chain guard back on the scooter and secure it in place with its screws.

Congrats! You've successfully put the chain on your Razor Sweet Pea Electric Scooter. Now, you're ready to get back to cruising and enjoying your ride.
