For example, charging a 300Wh electric scooter battery with an 85% efficient charger would require approximately 353Wh of electricity (300Wh / 0.85). If you pay the average electricity rate of $0.13 per kWh,



  • Energy: 353Wh = 0.353 kWh

  • Cost: 0.353 kWh * $0.13/kWh = $0.0459


For each charge cycle, you'd pay about 4.6 cents.


Annual Cost Estimate


Assuming you charge your scooter daily, the annual power cost would be:



  • Daily: $0.0459

  • Yearly: $0.0459 * 365 days = $16.75
