Comparing the Mercane WideWheel Pro and the Minimotors Dualtron Storm: A Guide to High-Powered Scooting
In the growing market of electric scooters, the Mercane WideWheel Pro and the Minimotors Dualtron Storm are two impressive models, each with its own unique set of features. While both models are efficient, durable, and loaded with the power necessary for high-speed scooting, they differ in various aspects that would appeal to different consumers.
The WideWheel Pro is designed by Mercane - a South Korean company known for producing high-quality e-scooters. This model is lighter in weight, making it more portable with a weight of 54 lbs. Compared to the Dualtron Storm weighing 102 lbs, it can be more suitable for those who value portability. It boasts a powerful 1000W motor, capable of reaching speeds up to 26mph, and covers an impressive range of 22 miles on a single charge with its 15 Ah Li-ion battery.
On the other hand, the Dualtron Storm by MiniMotors, a model lauded for its spectacular power, durability, and range, comes with a significantly higher price tag. Possessing two potent 2700W electric motors, it can perform at a breathtaking top speed of 50mph. It is equipped with a whopping 72V 31.5Ah battery enabling a maximum range of approximately 80 miles. The Dualtron Storm also flares up to the expectation by providing adjustable suspension that ensures a smoother ride but on flip side makes it somewhat bulky and difficult to maneuver.
Both models come with solid tire types, reducing puncture worries. In terms of display and controls, both have a similar approach with easy-to-use handlebar-mounted controls and LCD screens displaying all the necessary information.
These two models set their marks in different ways, the WideWheel Pro excels in cost-effectiveness and portability, making it an ideal option for city commuters, though compromising on the top-speed and battery range. Conversely, the Dualtron Storm thrashes limitations of speed and range, proving itself a beast to those who can manage its impressive weight and hefty price tag.
