When it comes to top-of-the-line electric scooters, two models stand out – the Minimotors Dualtron Victor Luxury and the NIU KQi3 Pro. Each elicits luxury and style, but how different are they really?
Let's start with the engines. The Dualtron Victor has two motors churning out a combined 4000W peak power, while the NIU KQi3 Pro is powered by a more modest 350W motor. When it comes to speed and uphill capacity, the Dualtron Victor comfortably takes the lead with a top speed of 45mph and a hill climb angle of 35 degrees. The NIU KQi3 Pro, on the other hand, maxes out at 45 km/h with a hill climb angle around 15 degrees.
Battery life is another crucial factor. The Dualtron Victor touts a LG 60V 30Ah battery capable of offering up to 90 miles on a single charge depending on driving conditions. The KQi3 Pro, while impressive with its Panasonic 48V 42Ah battery, falls short offering around 54 miles on a full charge.
Additionally, the Dualtron Victor has a suspensions system that's fit for off-roads, works better in extreme conditions, and includes tubeless tires for less hassle. The KQi3 Pro, however, boasts a more street-friendly setup, with an impressive smart dashboard displaying real-time diagnostics.
Finally, design. Both are sleek and modern, but the Dualtron Victor has a rough and ready aesthetic that suggests power and ruggedness, whereas the NIU KQi3 Pro leans towards a futuristic, commuter-friendly design with an intuitive smart system.
