Segway Ninebot E22
Contrasting the Scootering Giants: ANYHILL UM-1 VS Segway Ninebot E22
Electric scooters have increasingly become an appealing mode of transport for many city dwellers thanks to the convenience they deliver. The ANYHILL UM-1 and Segway Ninebot E22 are two models that have gained significant popularity in this age of green commuting.
The ANYHILL UM-1 prides itself on extraordinary performance and quality features, the scooter offers a power output of 350W, giving it a maximum speed of 20 mph, outrunning its counterpart. Moreover, its large 10-inch inflatable tires, coupled with a double shock absorption mechanism, promise a smooth ride over varying terrains. All these operate on a 36V/10.4Ah battery, which offers a commendable range of 20-25 miles. A notable feature includes a unique quick-folding mechanism for portability. However, it falls short in term of waterproofing as it’s only rated IPX4.
On the other hand, the Segway Ninebot E22 brings to the table a reputable brand name—Segway. The E22 model is operated by a lesser, 300W, brushless DC motor which grants it a maximum speed of 12.4 mph. Its Dual Density tires alongside front and rear shock absorbers do promise a comfortable ride. However, the scooter's smaller battery brings a lesser range of 13.7 miles. One area where it outshines the UM-1 is its IPX5 rating, for a better water resistance protocol, and the smart battery management system that significantly extends the Segway's battery life.
In summary, while the ANYHILL UM-1 gains points for speed and range, the Segway Ninebot E22 offers a better water resistance level and the trusted Segway brand name. It's really a matter of personal preference as both scooters have their own unique selling points.
