Comparing the Apollo City and Hiboy Max3 Electric Scooters: A Comprehensive Review

Navigating the world of electric scooters can be a challenging task. You are often confronted with multiple options and diverse specifications. Two such popular models currently available on the market are the Apollo City and the Hiboy Max3. Both offer impressive features tailored to varying commuter needs. However, they are differentiated by several factors. Beginning with acceleration, Apollo City triumphs. It boasts a 0 to 15 MPH acceleration in just 4.1 seconds, courtesy of its robust 600W motor. On the other hand, Hiboy Max3, armed with a 350W motor provides a bit slower speed. The Apollo City also outperforms the Hiboy Max3 when it comes to range. With its strong, long-lasting battery, Apollo City offers an impressive 28-mile range on a single charge, while the Max3 falls slightly short providing a 17-mile range. The comfort of the ride is another crucial factor. The Apollo City is outfitted with 8.5-inch pneumatic tires and dual spring suspension, providing maximum comfort and absorbing shocks on bumpy rides. The Hiboy Max3 uses 10-inch solid tires, which, combined with a rear shock absorber, provides a decent, but clearly not as smooth ride. Both scooters have similar braking systems. However, Apollo City enhances safety via dual braking system - a front disc brake and a rear drum brake. In contrast, Hiboy Max3 uses a single disc brake. Structurally, the Apollo City is more compact and lightweight, making it more portable compared to the slightly heavier Hiboy Max3. Moreover, both devices come with striking features such as LED lights, but the accent lighting on the Hiboy Max3 gives it a more modern appeal. In conclusion, both the Apollo City and Hiboy Max3 are capable scooters. But, the Apollo City offers greater speed, range, and comfort, making it more suitable for longer commutes. The Hiboy Max3, while having decent features, is better suited to shorter rides or those looking for cost-effective options.
