Comparing Urban Mobility: Apollo City vs Segway Ninebot Air T15 Electric Scooters
When shopping for electric scooters, two popular models often come to mind; Apollo City and the Segway Ninebot Air T15. Both exhibit impressive features but also distinct differences suited to different rider needs.
Starting with Apollo City: This model is hailed for its powerful 600W motor that can boost you to speeds up to 40km/h, ideal for city commuters needing to cover some distance. It offers range up to 45 km, ticking the box for long-range commutes. Being best in class for hill climbing, it can manage inclines up to 15 degrees. However, it's a bit heavier, weighing 18 kg, which may be a drawback to those needing a portable option.
Now to the Segway Ninebot Air T15: Smaller, lighter and super compact, it tips the scales at only 10.5 kg - a truly portable scooter. It shines in its ultra-modern design and energy saving innovations. However, being designed to be compact and lightweight comes with a trade-off. The Air T15 goes up to 20km/h with a range of 12 km, less than its Apollo City counterpart and struggles with hills more than 10 degrees.
In consideration of braking systems, both models use a combination of front and rear brakes for effective stopping. However, Apollo City uses a dual breaking system with a disc brake and e-brake, while Segway Ninebot Air T15 uses regenerative and drum brake system.
Price can be a decisive factor in this comparison. While both models are considered high-quality and reliable, Apollo City comes at a higher price, due to its greater range and speed capability.
To sum up, if you’re looking for speed, range, and hill-climbing prowess, the Apollo City would be your go-to. But, if portability, style, and innovative design resonate more with you, then the Segway Ninebot Air T15 is your winner.
