As electric scooters storm the personal transportation market, two standout models are the Apollo City and the Segway Ninebot ES1L. Built to impress, both are sleek, fast, and brimming with advanced features, but there are key differences that set them apart.
The Apollo City is known for its rugged design and high performance. Powered by a 600W motor, it can reach top speeds of up to 25 mph and has a range of 28 miles, significantly more than the Segway Ninebot ES1L's 15.5 miles using a 250W motor. The City's 8.5” air-filled tires give greater shock absorption for a smoother ride even on rough terrains, while the Ninebot ES1L has solid rubber tires which are puncture-proof but less comfortable on bumpy roads.
When it comes to added features, the Apollo City boasts dual suspension, a key ignition system, and a multi-function LCD display. It also has a greater load capacity of 265 lbs compared to Ninebot ES1L’s 220 lbs. However, the Ninebot ES1L adds an eco-friendly touch with its energy recovery system, which recycles power during rides.
While both models fold for easy transport, the Ninebot ES1L is much lighter than the Apollo City, making it the more portable option. In conclusion, the Apollo City outpaces the Ninebot ES1L in terms of speed, range, load capacity, and perks. However, the Ninebot ES1L comes out ahead for being more affordable, lightweight, and offering a unique energy-saving feature.
