Comparative Review: Apollo City Pro vs Segway GT1 Electric Scooters
As more and more people turn towards electric scooters for urban commuting, companies continue to innovate new models. Today we'll compare two popular models - Apollo City Pro and Segway GT1.
Firstly, in terms of speed and range, Apollo City Pro offers a top speed of 25mph with an impressive range of 40 miles on a single charge, making it an ideal choice for long distance commutes. On the other hand, Segway GT1 is on a slightly lower end, giving a maximum speed of 15.5mph and a range of 25 miles.
Coming to the riding comfort, Apollo City Pro stands out with its dual suspension and 10-inch pneumatic tires. This setup offers excellent ride smoothness, even on uneven surfaces. In contrast, Segway GT1 houses lesser advanced shock absorbers and smaller, 8.5-inch tires. They function adequately on well-paved roads but might not be suitable for rough surfaces.
For build quality and durability, both models are made with premium materials. Yet, Apollo City Pro has a better load capacity, with the ability to carry a max weight of 265lbs. Segway GT1, however, fails a bit short with a 220lbs weight capacity.
Regarding safety, Apollo City Pro comes equipped with front and rear disc brakes, providing more reliable stops. Segway GT1 uses a mechanical brake system which is adequate but not as responsive.
Overall, both scooters have their value propositions. Apollo City Pro offers better speed, range, riding comfort, and braking system while Segway GT1 is apt for easy city rides and users who prioritize a more affordable price tag.
