Comparative Review: Fluid Freeride CityRider vs. GOTRAX G4 Electric Scooters
If you’re looking for a fun and convenient way to travel around town, electric scooters like the Fluid Freeride CityRider and the GOTRAX G4 are worth considering. Despite their similarities, however, there are notable differences between these two models.
The Fluid Freeride CityRider delivers a smoother ride with its integrated front and rear suspension system, a feature the GOTRAX G4 lacks. This makes the CityRider better suited for journeys with imperfect terrain. It also has a slightly better maximum speed of 18 mph compared to the G4’s 15.5 mph. However, the greater speed of the CityRider comes at a cost of lower maximum range. It can only travel up to 10 miles, while the G4 can go for up to 25 miles on a single charge.
In terms of design, the GOTRAX G4 stands out with its sleek, black and red exterior and larger, more rugged tires. It’s a bit bulkier than the CityRider, so it’s perfect for riders who prefer something more robust and sturdy. On the flip side, the CityRider’s smaller, more compact design makes for easier storage and transportation when not in use.
Looking at the price, the GOTRAX G4 offers more value at $499, compared to the CityRider’s $599. However, keep in mind that this is reflected in some of the features offered by the CityRider such as the included rear suspension.
Both scooters have additional features, such as LED headlights and taillights for safe night riding, and digital displays showing speed, battery life, and mileage. Therefore, the choice between the Fluid Freeride CityRider and the GOTRAX G4 ultimately comes down to your individual needs and preferences.
