Comparing the GOTRAX G4 and Apollo Light Electric Scooters: A Comprehensive Review
Electric scooters have become a popular mode of transportation in urban environments and it's no wonder why - they're eco-friendly, convenient, and fun. Two notable models on the market are the GOTRAX G4 and the Apollo Light. Though both have their appealing points, there are significant differences that might impact your buying decision.
The GOTRAX G4 boasts great basics: top speed of 20 mph, a motor power of 350W, a range of 25 miles, and a recharge time of only 4 hours. Its 10 pneumatic tires provide a comfortable ride and its durability is ensured by its fortified fenders and reinforced baseboard. It also comes equipped with a combination lock for security purposes. However, it lacks suspension system which might affect the ride quality on rough surfaces.
The Apollo Light, on the other hand, is designed as an ultra-light e-scooter. Weighing only 37 lbs, it's easier to carry around compared to the 36 lbs of GOTRAX G4. It also excels in performance with a top speed of 22 mph, a slightly more powerful motor of 500W, and a range of 22 miles. Though it takes longer to charge (6 hours), the Apollo Light features both front spring and rear hydraulic suspension ensuring a smoother ride. It doesn’t have an in-built lock system but makes up for it with LED lights for enhanced visibility.
In terms of price, the Apollo light is notably more expensive than the G4. The latter is a budget-friendly model offering a balance of range, speed and comfort, while the former is an investment, designed for superior experience at a premium price. Thus, depending on your personal needs and budget, both scooters have their own appeal.
