Comparing the GOTRAX GXL Commuter v2 and the Segway Ninebot ES4 Electric Scooters
Both the GOTRAX GXL Commuter v2 and the Segway Ninebot ES4 are popular choices when it comes to electric scooters, but they offer quite different features. The GOTRAX GXL Commuter v2, as its name suggests, is designed primarily as a commuting tool. It includes a high capacity 10.4 Ah battery, giving it an estimated range of 12 miles. Its 15.5 mph top speed might not win any races, but it certainly simplifies commuting. The scooter features a dual braking system with both hand and foot brakes for stability. The GXL is, comparatively, a budget choice looking at its price.
Contrarily, the Segway Ninebot ES4 excels in terms of range and speed. The ES4 features an impressive 28 miles range and 18.6 mph top speed owing to the extra external battery, making it one of the top performers in the market. It integrates both mechanical and electrical anti-lock braking system for more effective and responsive braking. The Ninebot ES4, however, is priced significantly higher than the GXL. Despite a less comfortable riding experience due to solid tires, the ES4 makes up for it with high-tech features like app integration and customizable ambient and rear lights.
Both scooters offer solid construction, portability, and reliability. Your choice will depend mostly on your desired balance between price, speed, and range.
