Compare the Hiboy S2 and the Xiaomi Mi Pro 2

Electric scooters have become a popular mode of transportation owing to their convenience, cost-effectiveness and environmental friendliness. This comparison piece focuses on two particularly popular models - the Hiboy S2 and the Xiaomi Mi Pro 2.

At first glance, there are quite a few similarities between the two - built with robust frames, LED lights for nighttime safety, and convenient folding designs. However, there are also significant distinctions worth noting.

The Hiboy S2 is revered for its battery, which allows for an impressive range of up to 20 miles at a top speed of 20 mph. Its superior shock absorption mechanism and solid tires make for a smooth, comfortable ride. Importantly, the S2 also features a unique ‘Regenerative Battery’ system which recharges the scooter during braking or downhill rides. One shortfall of the S2 is the lack of flat resistance in the tires which could be a challenge in rough terrains.

The Xiaomi Mi Pro 2, on the other hand, offers an extended range of 28 miles but at a slightly lower top speed of 15.5mph. The Pro 2 gains an edge with its puncture-resistant, air-filled tires attributing to greater versatility on different terrains. Nevertheless, the Pro 2’s battery does not offer the regenerative advantage like the S2. The integrated multifunctional dashboard showing speed, power, and other indicators is another distinctive feature in favor of the Xiaomi Mi Pro 2.
