When it comes to electric scooters, both the Kaabo Mantis V2 and the Hiboy MAX V2 stand out as second generation models with modern features and upgrades, however, there’s a distinct difference in power, ride quality, and build quality.
Starting with performance, the Kaabo Mantis V2 is undeniably more powerful. Sporting dual 1000W motors, the Mantis V2 can reach a top speed of 40mph and climb impressive inclines. The Hiboy MAX V2, on the other hand, is designed with a single 350W motor, providing a top speed of 18.6mph - more suited for cruising around the city at a moderate pace.
In terms of handling and comfort, the Mantis V2 leaves little room for competition. It houses high-quality hydraulic shocks and coil springs suspension system as well as 10-inch pneumatic tyres ensuring better road absorption. The Hiboy MAX V2 utilises front shock absorber and solid tires that are great for urban commute, but may not provide the same level of comfort on uneven terrains.
In terms of build quality, the Mantis V2 with its robust aerospace-grade aluminum frame and overall solid construction comes up superior. Meanwhile, the Hiboy MAX V2 features a reliable design with an aluminum frame and rubberised deck, but may not be as rugged as the Mantis V2.
Lastly, regarding battery life and range, the Mantis V2 boasts a range of up to 45 miles on a single charge, while the Hiboy MAX V2 is good for up to 17 miles.
