Swagtron Swagger 5 vs GOTRAX Xr: Which Electric Scooter Reigns Supreme?
When it comes to top-notch electric scooters, the Swagtron Swagger 5 and the GOTRAX Xr are two models that have emerged as key players in the field. Despite having many common features, several differences exist, which may influence a buyer's decision.
To begin, both scooters are applauded for their Foldability and Portability yet they differ in size. The Swagtron Swagger 5 weighs 26 lbs with dimensions of 41.5 x 17 x 46 inches, while the bulkier GOTRAX Xr weighs 27.5 lbs with dimensions of 43.3 x 16.7 x 47.2 inches.
In terms of speed, the Swagger 5 scoots ahead with a top speed of 18 mph while the GOTRAX Xr trails slightly behind with a maximum speed of 15.5 mph. With similar battery lives, both scooters offer a 12 miles range, however, the Swagger 5's battery charges in 3.5 hours compared to the GOTRAX Xr’s 4-hour charging time.

As for the braking system, the Swagger 5 utilizes a rear disc brake together with an auto guard technology, while the GOTRAX Xr uses a dual braking system with disc and EABS anti-lock system for a safer and responsive stopping power.
Lastly, the Swagger 5 comes with an app, enabling riders to control their scooters' speed, switch on headlights, and engage cruise control all from their smartphones. This is a feature absent in the GOTRAX Xr model.
In conclusion, each scooter has its own strengths to bring to the table. The Swagger 5 scores higher with speed, charging time, display and smartphone integration while the GOTRAX Xr's benefits lie in a stronger braking system and slightly larger build.
