Zero 9 Vs. NIU KQi3 Pro: A Comprehensive Comparison of Electric Scooters
When it comes to choosing the best electric scooter for your needs, a lot of factors come into play; battery life, hill-climbing ability, comfort, speed, and price are among the most important. In this regard, two models that have caught our attention for one reason or another are the Zero 9 and the NIU KQi3 Pro.
Starting off, the Zero 9 is powered by a 600W motor while the NIU KQi3 Pro boasts a 350W motor. This means the Zero 9 has a more powerful motor that can reach a top speed of about 28 mph compared to the KQi3 Pro’s 18 mph. In terms of battery life, Zero 9 uses a 52V 13Ah lithium-ion battery, which offers a maximum distance of 27 miles. The KQi3 Pro, on the other hand, uses a 48V 42Ah battery and can run for 60 miles on a single charge.
The KQi3 Pro is a heavyweight in terms of built quality and design; its sleek frame is very attractive, and it features a smart LCD display. The Zero 9, however, scores high with its vibrant LED lights and its foldability, making it easy to carry and store.
For hill-climbing, the Zero 9 is an all-rounder. It can easily tackle slopes up to 30 degrees. In contrast, the KQi3 Pro can handle hill gradients up to 15 degrees.
Comfort-wise, both models have a front and rear suspension system and 10 Pneumatic tires providing smooth and comfortable rides on rough surfaces. However, the KQi3 Pro also features an adjustable saddle for added comfort - something that the Zero 9 lacks.
Looking at the price point, the Zero 9 is definitely more cost-friendly than the NIU KQi3 Pro, making it a great pick for budget-conscious buyers. However, with its superior build quality, battery life, and additional features, the KQi3 Pro could justify its higher price point.
To wrap things up, both brands have paid close attention to safety features, providing plenty of lights and reflectors on both models. Whether you choose the Zero 9 or the NIU KQi3 Pro, both are sure to offer a safe and enjoyable ride.
