In the world of electric scooters, two models stand out: the Zero 9 and the Segway Ninebot Max.
In terms of speed, the Zero 9 outpaces the Ninebot Max, with a top speed of 25 mph compared to the Ninebot Max's 18.6 mph. The acceleration of the Zero 9 is quicker too. However, the Ninebot Max boasts an impressive range of 40.4 miles on a single charge, while the Zero 9 offers up to 27 miles, depending on riding conditions.
Both models feature 10-inch pneumatic tires ensuring a smooth ride, but the Zero 9 offers front and rear suspension, an advantage over the Ninebot Max's rear-wheel drive only. The Ninebot Max, however, trumps its rivalry with an exceptional ability to tackle 20% hill grade while the Zero 9 caps at 15%.
When it comes to weight, the Ninebot Max is heavier at approximately 41.2 lbs, compared to the Zero 9's more portable 40 lbs. The Ninebot Max also sports a great design with strong build quality and an integrated dashboard display.
In terms of the braking system, both models come with a mechanical and electronic brake. But, the Zero 9 has an additional rear drum brake for added safety.
Finally, cost also sets these models apart. The Zero 9 is higher in price compared to the Ninebot Max. Therefore, Budget-conscious consumers may prefer the Ninebot Max, while those willing to pay a bit more for speed and suspension would gravitate towards the Zero 9.
