Comparing the Zero 9 and the Zero 10 Electric Scooters: A Comprehensive Review
A detailed comparison between the Zero 9 and Zero 10 electric scooter is essential for potential users to make an informed choice. Both steadfast models hail from the prestigious Zero series, however, differences exist that set them apart.
Firstly, Zero 10 comes with a more powerful 1000W motor compared to Zero 9's 600W. This renders Zero 10 capable of achieving a top speed of 40km/h whereas Zero9 peaks at 30km/h. Additionally, the Zero 10's battery, at 52V 18Ah, supports a longer range (approximately 50km) than Zero 9's 48V 13Ah battery that allows for 35km. Hence, Zero 10 would be a preferred choice for longer commutes.
However, Zero 9, being lighter and more compact, outdoes Zero 10 in portability. It weighs 18kg and measures 1167 x 420 x 1200mm, whereas Zero 10 is hefty at 24kg and measures 1205 x 545 x 1160mm. This makes Zero 9 an ideal scooter for users who often need to carry their scooter up flights of stairs or store it in tight spaces.
In terms of brakes, while both models house front and rear disc brakes for optimum safety, Zero 10 outperforms Zero 9 with its added hydraulic braking system for smoother stops.
Finally, the Zero 10's larger deck offers increased standing space and comfort as compared to Zero 9's. Yet, both scooters have LED headlight and sidelights for nighttime visibility and safety.
In summary, both Zero 9 and Zero 10 electric scooters have unique features, with Zero 10 offering more power and comfort, and Zero 9 offering more portability and compactness.
