Electric Scooter Subsidies in Delhi: Maximizing Savings and Eco-Friendliness

With India's continued push towards clean and eco-friendly mobility, electric scooters have become increasingly popular in the nation's capital, Delhi. The Delhi government has introduced attractive subsidy initiatives to encourage more people to adapt to electric vehicles, aiming to reduce pollution in the city. This policy goes further by also offering an additional incentive for scrapping and deregistering old-ICE two-wheelers registered at least 10 years ago. With the scrapping incentive, buyers can receive up to an additional Rs. 5,000 subsidy, significantly reducing the cost of a new electric scooter.

Moreover, the Delhi government has waived off road tax and registration fees for electric scooters. This means buyers won't have to pay any extra charges on top of the subsidized purchase price, providing even further savings.
