Changing the rear tire on your Razor electric scooter can seem like a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be! We're here to help you through the process with an easy-to-follow guide that will have you back on the road in no time. This article will provide detailed steps and tips so you can successfully change the rear tire on your scooter like a pro!

Step 1: Gather Supplies
Before you begin, make sure you have the following items handy:

  • A new rear tire for your Razor electric scooter (check the specifications in the manual)

  • A 4mm and 5mm Allen wrench

  • A socket wrench with a 14mm or 15mm socket

  • A flathead screwdriver

  • A rubber mallet (optional)

  • An air pump (if necessary)

Step 2: Remove the Rear Wheel
First, turn off the scooter and flip it upside down so the rear tire is facing up. Locate the rear axle bolt and use the socket wrench to remove it. Then use the 4mm and 5mm Allen wrenches to remove the brake assembly and chain tensioner. Carefully slide the rear wheel off the axle.

Step 3: Remove the Old Tire
Use the flathead screwdriver to carefully remove the old tire from the wheel. Be mindful of the inner tube; be gentle so as not to puncture it!

Step 4: Install the New Tire
Place the new tire on the wheel, gently working the edges over the rim. If it's too tight, try using a rubber mallet to help. Once the new tire is properly seated, inflate it according to the manufacturer's specifications.

Step 5: Reinstall the Rear Wheel
Slide the rear wheel back onto the axle, taking care to properly align the chain and brake assembly. Reinstall the brake assembly and chain tensioner using the Allen wrenches. Finally, secure the rear axle bolt using the socket wrench.

Now you're all set to hit the pavement with your newly changed rear tire! Remember to regularly check the tire pressure and monitor the wear on your scooter's tires to ensure a smooth ride and maximum performance.
