What we cannot confirm: a minimum and maximum bar diameter. Levy has not published one for this holder. A fitment page that invents a millimetre range so the table looks complete is worse than a page that admits the gap, because the number would read as verified and it would not be. If you ride something unusual — an oversized bar, a square-section bar, a folding bar with a clamp already occupying the centre — measure it and ask us before ordering.

Two separate questions hide inside that one. The first is whether the mount holds the phone; the second is whether the phone survives being held.
The mount. An aluminium-and-steel clamp with a screw-tightened interface is inherently more secure than a plastic spring claw, and the Levy holder can be locked in a fixed position rather than left free to rotate. Retighten the clamp screw after the first week; the initial bedding-in is when mounts loosen.
The phone. Camera modules in modern phones use small suspended magnets for stabilisation and autofocus, and sustained high-frequency vibration through a rigid mount has been associated with damage. Scooter vibration is gentler than a motorcycle engine, but if you ride broken pavement daily on an expensive phone, that is a real consideration rather than an internet rumour.

This is a real and well-documented concern, not a myth. Optical image stabilisation and autofocus modules in modern phones use small suspended magnets, and sustained high-frequency vibration from a rigid handlebar mount has been linked to damage in some models. Several phone manufacturers advise against mounting on motorcycles for this reason. On an electric scooter the vibration is milder than a motorcycle engine, but if your phone is expensive and your route is rough, a vibration-damping mount or simply keeping the phone in a pocket is the conservative choice.
Use a handlebar extender. It mounts on the top unit and adds usable bar space for accessories, which is the usual fix when the phone holder, a light and a bell are competing for the same few inches. The Levy extender is listed as compatible with the Levy Light and Levy Plus.
