Input is the wall side and is almost always 100–240V, meaning the brick works anywhere in the world with the right plug adapter. Input is not the number that decides fitment.

The only thing a higher-amperage charger changes is time. It does not add range, it does not add capacity, and it does not make the battery healthier. What it does do is push more current into the pack, and whether that is fine depends entirely on what the pack and its battery management system are rated for.

This is the one place on this page where we would rather lose a sale. Lithium packs are charged by a device that deliberately pushes current into them, and the safety margin lives in the charger’s regulation and the pack’s management circuit. If the two are not designed for each other, the failure mode is not “it does not charge”.
Levy does not stock chargers for Xiaomi / Mi, GoTrax, Hiboy, Turboant, NIU, Apollo or the other brands listed on the charger finder. We would rather send you to the manufacturer than sell you a maybe.
A charger that behaves oddly is often reporting a battery-side problem. Two of the most common patterns have their own walkthroughs:
Because 36V is the nominal voltage of the pack, not its full voltage. A 36V lithium-ion pack is ten cells in series, and a fully charged lithium cell sits at about 4.2 volts. Ten times 4.2 is 42. So the charger has to be able to push the pack up to 42V to fill it. A charger labelled 42V is the correct charger for a 36V scooter, and a charger labelled 36V is not.
Amperage sets charging speed, and voltage sets compatibility, so a higher-amp charger at the same voltage will generally charge a pack faster. But whether your specific scooter and its battery management system are rated to accept that current is a question for the scooter manufacturer, not for us. Levy stocks both a standard Ninebot Max charger and a 42V 5.0A fast charger; if you are unsure which your scooter is rated for, check with Segway before using the faster one.
The risk with a mismatched charger is real and it is a fire risk, not an inconvenience. Three things must match: output voltage, connector type, and a current rating your scooter can accept. Buy a charger that names your scooter model, look for a recognised safety certification mark on the brick, and do not use an unbranded adapter whose output is only printed on the box.
Not necessarily. A charger that never turns red can mean the pack is already full, that the battery management system has cut off because the pack is too cold or too deeply discharged, or that the connector is not fully seated. Work through the charger troubleshooting guide before replacing the charger, because a new charger will not fix a battery-side cutoff.
