A tire change on a Max is the one job that regularly defeats people at home, because the wheel is built around the hub motor and the bead is tight. If you would rather not, a local bike or powersports shop will usually do it for less than the cost of a mistake.
The Max family spans the consumer G30 and a series of fleet revisions numbered 2.0, 2.2, 2.3 and 2.4 (also sold as Max Plus X). Several parts are not shared across them: the kickstand, the brake handle, the rear fender and the LCD board all have version-specific variants. If you are not sure, look for the model designation on the sticker on the stem or the underside of the deck before ordering a version-specific part.
The tire Levy stocks for the Max series is 10 inches by 2.5 inches, available as a solid tire or an air-filled tire. The same tire is listed as compatible with Okai ES400 series scooters.
The brake pads Levy stocks for the Ninebot Max are drum brake pads, sold as a direct-fit replacement. That is different from the Levy Light and Levy Plus, which use disc brakes with a separate rotor, caliper and pad set.
The replacement pack Levy stocks is a genuine Segway Ninebot part: a 36V lithium-ion pack rated at 15.3Ah, which is 551 watt-hours. Segway publishes a range of up to 40 miles for it under optimal conditions. It carries built-in protection against over-heating, short circuits, over-current and over-charging.
