When it comes to electric scooters, there is a wide variety to choose from. Among them, the Anyhill UM-1 and the Apollo City Pro have stood out for their remarkable features and performance. However, despite their similarities, they bear some significant differences that potential buyers should consider.
The Anyhill UM-1 excels in terms of its lightweight and compact design, making it an excellent choice for those who prefer portability and convenience. It's also known for its great range, given its lightweight profile, with the capacity to run about 22 miles on a full charge. It's topped with a relatively powerful motor of 250W that delivers decent speed performance, allowing it to reach a top speed of 15.5 mph. For safety, it's equipped with an efficient dual brake system and a high visibility LED light.
Contrarily, the Apollo City Pro provides a more powerful performace with a 600W motor, which lets users hit a top speed of 28mph, nearly double that of the Anyhill UM-1. Its robustness does come at a cost; it's heavier than the UM-1 but provides a much longer range, with the ability to go up to 40 miles on a single charge which is almost double the distance of the Anyhill UM-1. The Apollo City Pro also sporuts 10-inch air-filled tires making the ride smoother over uneven terrains, and comes with a comprehensive dual brake system.
In terms of pricing, the Apollo City Pro is a more premium model compared to the more budget-friendly Anyhill UM-1.
In a nutshell, if it's lightweight convenience and budgetary considerations you're looking for, the Anyhill UM-1 is a good choice. On the other hand, if the focus is more on top speed, longer range, and you don't mind the extra weight, the Apollo City Pro could be worth the investment.
